How was Hacienda Santa Lucía born?
Founders
Settled north of San José de Guaymas, it began first as an orchard and later the social areas and accommodation for the family were enabled.

Main activity
In its beginnings, like most orchards in Sonora, one of the main activities was the cultivation of citrus, the production is marketed as fresh fruit and channeled to the national market.

Fun facts
Sonora is home to 9 indigenous peoples: Seris, Pimas, Cucapá, Ópatas, Mayos, Guarajíos, Kikapú, Yaquis and Pápagos; and 7 of them live in their own autonomous communities.

Present challenges
In the face of climate change, sustainable agriculture is presented as an option to lower the levels of pollution on the planet and give quality of life to the population.
