Three presidents plaza.
its name it’s due to the fact that 3 former presidents of Mexico, were born here in Guaymas. This square display the sculptures that remember them.
(City Hall) Built in 1899, this building with its stone structure, is a symbol of the city.
Malecón / tourist boardwalk
With its emblematic monument to the fisherman facing Guaymas´bay, is the port most representative sculpture without a doubt.
Of neoclassical architecture, it was built in the 19th century in honor of the Patron Saint of the city, serves as the scenery for multiple events, it is the main Catholic temple of the city.
Visit downtown Guaymas
The history of Guaymas dates to 1539, when the explorer ships sent by Hernán Cortés, arrived at the bay of Guaymas. Captain Ulloa, who was in command, decided to give it the name of "port of ports", due to the good impression that this place gave to the navigators. However, the City Council of the port considers August 31st., 1769 as the official date of the foundation of Guaymas as is. It is a place full of history; Visiting it is an experience that will be very enriching.
July 13th Plaza
With its Moorish style kiosk. Founded in the nineteenth century, commemorates the battle of July 13, 1854, against French invaders. As a curious fact, the kiosk was designed by the builder of the Eiffel Tower in Paris, France.
Municipal market
Classic place to go to buy typical hand crafts such as Palo de Fierro (Ironwood), Mexican snacks, clothing and footwear.
Temple of the Sacred Heart of Jesus
It is a neoclassical building built in the early 19th century. It is the oldest Catholic temple in the port.
